El Bob’s New Adventures in LA

El Bob has taken multiple trips to Los Angeles over the years, but he has many more places to visit! Thanks to Airbnb.com, there’s always a new and exciting place to stay, and with many friends, there’s always a new restaurant to try and new views to see. Unfortunately for El Bob, this trip ended with a boo boo, he should be all patched up before the next trip.

El Bob enjoys a beautiful morning view at the Griffith Observatory.

El Bob Revisits Puerto Rico

El Bob finally takes a trip back to his homeland, in Puerto Rico after four years. This trip was a new experience and he really enjoyed it, but there’s definitely so much more to see and hopefully more trips back in the future.

El Bob’s first official meal in Puerto Rico was a delicious empanada.

El Bob Relaxes in Cancun

El Bob makes his way to the east coast of Mexico for the first time to Cancun. Thankfully he stayed at a family friendly resort, Now Jade, instead of fighting his way through intoxicated Spring Breakers. While El Bob could have gotten all his eats, sun, and water in the all inclusive resort, he was able to check out some local beaches too. Do you recognize the boat he’s sitting on?

El Bob Races in Germany

El Bob had the privilege to take the journey of every car enthusiast’s dream and step hooves on the motherland of German cars sacred ground of the Nordschleife. His first stop was Munich to enjoy a few days of Oktoberfest which was overhwhelmed by an insane number of drunken Germans. After a tour around the city including BMW World, El Bob took a 5 hour drive on the infamous Autobahn to Nurburg to get a taste of the Nurburgring. It was heaven. El Bob thinks this is one of the best trips he’s ever taken, and would surely like to visit the Ring again.

El Bob Goes Off-road in Aruba

El Bob had quite an adventure in Aruba. He rented a Jeep and visited the California Lighthouse, made a pebble tower of his own, and saw some dope rides at Rat Land.

El Bob always enjoys a view with palm trees.

El Bob in Taiwan

El Bob visits the other side of the world for the first time! He spent three weeks with so much to see and so much to eat. Food there is amazing and very cheap, so are the hotels. El Bob went crazy and jumped from hotels to hotels, as well as traveling from Taipei all the way north, to Kaosiung all the way south on the High Speed Rail. El Bob’s most special moment was meeting the amazing Rose Liu who is a talented and gorgeous singer. He felt like mushy bacon when meeting her, and can’t wait to see her again some day.

El Bob Drops In St Lucia

El Bob flies to St Lucia for a wedding celebration. He relaxes at an all inclusive resort and explores the local town. You’ll just have to wait for the wedding photos to see it all!

El Bob Does Dallas

El Bob enjoys some amazing Dallas food during his short trip to Texas. If he’s not careful, he could be mistaken for food himself!

El Bob is in heaven with beef brisket from Rudy’s.

El Bob Climbs the Swiss Alps

El Bob experiences his first winter outside of his cozy home in New Jersey. He went to Switzerland to experience the Swiss Alps and stops by Italy again. This is the first time El Bob has ever touched any snow, good thing he gets to taste pure Swiss snow instead of Jersey snow!

El Bob stops by a local town to see a prestine lake with a mirror reflection of the mountains.

El Bob at Baltimore Grand Prix

El Bob goes down to Inner Harbor, Baltimore for the Grand Prix weekend. It was exciting to walk the track built on the city streets, eat good food, and have good company. It was always El Bob’s dream to go 180mph, so this was his next closest thing.

El Bob tests out the tire barrier for the Grand Prix. Safety’s number one!

El Bob goes to Edmonton, Canada

El Bob takes his first trip to Canada, in Edmonton. He loves the long daylight hours, which means more time to play!

El Bob always enjoys a large bowl of congee on a chilly night.

El Bob goes to DUMBO

El Bob spends the morning in DUMBO, Brooklyn and walks across the bridge for the first time with all the tourists! There is always lots of colors to see in DUMBO and the place never looks exactly the same when you go back. One thing for sure, El Bob never leaves without making a new friend, even in New York!

El Bob goes to Atlanta Georgia

El Bob visits Atlanta Georgia, and the famous Varsity hot dog joint and Coca Cola factory. Coca Cola had some unique friends waiting for El Bob.

El Bob likes his hot dogs with onions, ketchup and mustard.

El Bob stays at Hotel Monaco

El Bob recently visited Inner Harbor Baltimore and stayed at Hotel Monaco. This magnificent structure was built in 1906 as the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad headquarters. This hotel is a great bargain compared to New York hotels, at double the floor space for a quarter of the cost. I will be sure to come back for future projects. The staff are extremely friendly and completely open to photography even with tripods on property.

El Bob stays at the 1840s Carrollton Inn

If you want to find a cute, vintage bed and breakfast near Inner Harbor Baltimore, the 1840′s Carrollton Inn will be an amazing stay. You won’t find ugly floral patterned window curtains and bed sheets decorated by your grandma.  Even the bathroom is spacious and gorgeous, and the jacuzzi could definitely be a lot of fun. This particular room is the Liberty Room.

Fancy furniture for a fancy night.

El Bob in Maui, Hawaii

El Bob spent a few days in Maui, Hawaii with the wedding party. He went on adventures from the beach, to the addictive ABC store and the Grand Wailea resort, to hiking through bamboo forests, waterfalls, paragliding, and even whale watching! One unique phenomenon I witnessed was during paragliding where you can see an entire circular rainbow below you in the clouds. You can watch my paragliding YouTube video here. Unfortunately Maui was the island El Bob lost his tail, in the bamboo forest, at least it will forever be part of Hawaii.

Ho Ho Oink

El Bob goes west, again

El Bob went back to California and visited the north side for the first time. He landed in Concord, CA but the first stop was to the Golden Gate Bridge. El Bob attended a wedding the next day at Murrieta’s Well Winery in Livermore. From there, El Bob took a scenic drive down the famous Pacific Coast Highway, which took about 9.5 hours heading south stopping at many of the scenic overlooks. The drive from north to south is arguably one of the best drives in America. El Bob spent a few days in LA and met some new friends before going back up to San Francisco which only took 6 hours this time. El Bob’s trip ended with a second wedding at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach.

Mazatlan, Mexico

I went back to Mexico within a month for another wedding, but this time I headed to Mazatlan which isn’t too far from Los Cabos. Instead of the usual point and shoot photos, I decided to document my sightings with the ShakeItPhoto iPhone app. Apparently everybody loves the photos and I didn’t have to do any work!
