How many of you still sing in the shower? The last time I remember singing in the shower was probably middle school or earlier. Nowadays I just think about being as efficient as possible while cleaning the shower stall at the same time. People always say the reverb in the shower stall is the best. Somebody should start a karaoke bar with shower stalls… or maybe I should just host one in my own bathroom with the ladies. I’m feeling dirty right now.

Backseat Fun

I love doing it in the back seat. Photo shoots that is. Unless you have a large budget for photo permits, it’s very difficult to find a public space to park a car and have a photo shoot without being stopped by officials. You’d be surprised with the hundreds or thousands of square miles of desert, there isn’t one location that’s not owned by a private owner or the state – so either you’re trespassing or parked illegally. I found a little spot was on the outskirts of the little city of Palm Springs, CA. I was hoping with the flash going off that it wouldn’t attract any attention from any patrol cars. Of course if I had a large warehouse or garage, I could have pulled off this shoot too. This setup was a Canon Speedlite 580 EX II with umbrella, attached to a Quantum Turbo battery on a light stand outside of the Volvo C70, triggered by Pocket Wizards.

One of my favorite quotes, “It’s not babies in the back seat that causes accidents. It’s accidents in the back seat that causes babies.”

Female Drivers Wanted

How many of you guys would make it a point to teach your female partners how to drive better or even how to drive a manual transmission car? There’s something very attractive about a woman who has the skills and passion to drive well, and can tame a powerful beast with her delicate yet firm grip. Not only can you share a passion together dominating twists and turns, talk about your favorite on/off ramps, or both get turned on by a sexy exhaust note or high RPM, she can actually drive your car when you’re too drunk or tired. I’m interested in meeting more women with a love of performance driving, and maybe sneak in some portraits of them with their ride, or if any ladies just wants to shoot in mine, I’ll come pick you up.

I was invited by a dear friend of mine to a Playboy casting party at the Hawaiian Tropic in Times Square. She had appeared in different Special Editions of Playboy, and to top it off, she was Asian. As you can guess, almost all of the models at the event were voluptuous tanned blondes in tight glimmery outfits. While I shared a dinner with my friend, I couldn’t help but notice one of the waitresses walking around in the Hawaiian Tropic bikini outfit. She was exotic looking, a few sizes smaller than the rest of the Playboy bunny wannabe’s, and stood out to catch both my friend and my attention. In fact, we both wish we could take her home. Typical me, I could not muster any guts to say hi, so I waited till my friend could come with me and introduce ourselves. Funny thing is, and this happens often, she already knew who I was and had wanted to shoot with me. So a few months later, here we are.
