I love Microsoft Photosynth

I’ve tried some panorama apps on my iPhone 4, but nothing beats Microsoft Photosynth, and it’s free. It’s incredibly simple to use, just turn your camera in a circle and it will automatically capture and stitch the next image. I highly recommend using a tripod or a long stick on the ground to keep your camera steady. The software uses image tracing to stitch the images together, and if your camera moves away from the original spot, it will be more difficult for the software to track your movement due to a change in perspective in a new location. This app is a lot of fun, and people will always wonder why you are spinning in a circle with your phone, and it easily impresses anyone that you can take these with your phone.

My iPhone Todo List

While there are plenty of task apps out there for the iPhone, it’s not much of a reminder if you don’t remember to run the app on a regular basis to read what you need to do. The most effective method for me is to put it directly on the lock screen of the phone. How many times do you check your phone throughout the day and have to unlock the device? You will constantly see your list without having to run an app.

I take down the notes in Notes, save a screen shot, go to Photos and set the new screen as the wallpaper, and resize to fill screen.

Mazatlan, Mexico

I went back to Mexico within a month for another wedding, but this time I headed to Mazatlan which isn’t too far from Los Cabos. Instead of the usual point and shoot photos, I decided to document my sightings with the ShakeItPhoto iPhone app. Apparently everybody loves the photos and I didn’t have to do any work!
